Remarks Other label on the herbarium sheet has the following information:
"N. B. Exell notes that the nerves are glabrous; there are, however, a few hairs even on the midrib of this specimen. He also notes that this new species is nearest to M. caloneurus GILG, from which it differs in having distinctly smaller leaves, with glabrous main veins (or practically glabrous main veins, according to this specimen). The two species are certainly alike in having glabrous upper leaf surfaces; moreover, the veining on the lower surface of the leaf shows a very regular arrangement of the tertiary veins (towards the leaf-margins), as described by Gilg for M. caloneurus." by H.B [Helen Bancroft].;

There is a capsule with leaves and flowers.
